Entrepreneur Monday's - Visionary of the Month: Michael Westbrooks II
With new generations, new visions grow and with new visions , new ideas flourishes and new grounds are built. A great example of a visionary full of ideas is Michael Westbrooks II. Michael Westbrooks is a Data Analytics professional in Atlanta, GA, developed and designed iOS mobile apps for the last 2 years.
He is a self-taught entrepreneur and tech genius that has been working with local entrepreneurs to build their applications before starting on his own. His self-thought experience and entrepreneurial journey has been more than inspiring to us. His engagement in helping young individuals learn and inspire them to explore their talents is only touching upon his powerful entrepreneurial journey.
The story is simple he describes:
My business partner and I were unsuccessful at launching our first product due to the lack of financial and technical resources. Like all founders, we believed we had this grandiose of an idea that was going to revolutionize the way...blah BLAH blah...you get it. With this idea, a year's worth of featuring up our idea, we were sold on the idea of getting funded and then bringing our idea to fruition. Again, we failed. However, if my partner and I would have never failed, I would not have saw the value of acquiring the technical skills, and thus freeing my own creativity to dream about life in the "flesh world." This freedom is what I seek to bring to other entrepreneurs who have ideas but lack the resources to bring their ideas into reality. Through this passion, my startup created the #CodeWithMike initiative."
#CodeWithMike is a free initiative that teaches the beginnings of iOS development to local founders, techies, and anyone else interested, and equips them with a toolkit of resources so that they too can dream, ideate, and build.
His second project is called Tydee an innovating solution to recycling with a touch of technology. Tydee was created to bring much-needed innovation and sustainability to the waste management industry. In a time where recycling and small solutions to a bigger problem is key, Michael has set the standard for having innovating ideas and bringing them to life.
