Fashion Thursday's - Rihanna Teams Up With Parsons and Donna Karan to Benefit Haitian Artisans
Parsons students will team up with Haitian artisans to create and exclusive merchandise line for Rihanna's Clara Lionel foundation.
The star has announced that she will be teaming up with New School's Parsons School of Design, famed designer Donna Karan and her Urban Zen Foundation and Haitian artisans, to create a merchandise line that is sure to be ultra chic.
The line will be developed for Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation in Haiti this summer by selected Parson's design students and local artisans at the Design Organization Training Center in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
Participating students will be able to travel and work on the project through the competitive Parsons Design Fellowship which was launched in 2015 and sends students to Haiti for six to eight weeks every summer.
Rihanna is set to be honored at Parsons' 69th annual benefit and will announce the winners of the fellowship along with Karan at the event on May 22 in New York City.
We all know that pretty much anything Rihanna touches turns to gold, so this new merchandise line with a good cause should be no different.
